high traffic corridor. He noted that Xcel has been contacted regarding this possibility. He briefly reviewed the <br />schematics of the project and potential expense for burying the power lines. He noted the surcharge would last <br />for three years. <br />Councilmember Bauman appreciated staff's efforts, but she stated she would pass on this portion of the <br />project. <br />Councilmember Strub wanted to see the lines buried. <br />Mayor Jacobsen understood the aesthetics would be improved, but believed the expense to bury the lines was <br />high. <br />City Manager Lotter requested comment from the Council on when to establish joint meetings times with the <br />various commissions and committees. He indicated the EDC was looking forward to meeting with the <br />Council. <br />The Council was in favor of meeting with the EDC on March 18th with an alternate date being April 15th. Staff <br />was directed to contact Councilmember Burg on her preference. <br />The Council suggested meeting with the Planning Commission in May. <br />Lotter asked how many satellite meetings the Council was interested in holding in 2015. <br />The Council recommended that two meetings be held away from City Hall in 2015 and that this be evaluated at <br />year-end before a decision is made for 2016. <br />Councilmember Bauman requested Applewood Point be a starting point for the first satellite meeting. <br />Councilmember Strub suggested that staff reach out to local businesses or the Chamber of Commerce to see if <br />they wanted to be involved in the satellite meetings. <br />City Manager Lotter thanked the Council for their input. <br />Worksession adjourned at 6:13 pm <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Terri Haarstad <br />City Clerk <br />
