The cost of the <br />equipment is as follows: <br />Contract # 82509 from Lano Eauinment <br />Bobcat 5650 price $ 41,825 <br />Bobcat milling attachment price $ 13,699 <br />Trade In Bobcat 5570 $(29,856) <br />Trade In Bobcat mill attachment $ (4,500) <br />Freight $ 750 <br />Grand Total $ 21,925* <br />*A 2015 replacement cost of $22,681 for the 5570 Bobcat and milling attachment has been programmed <br />in the Fleet Replacement Fund. The Bobcat is on an annual upgrade program. This is an annual upgrade <br />that has worked very well for a number of years. The unit is under complete warranty and does not <br />require any maintenance costs. A larger unit is proposed this year to handle the milling attachment better. <br />The milling attachment is on a 12 year replacement. It is a very important piece of equipment used to <br />plane or "shave" off layers of asphalt to make good edges on street patches. This purchase is under <br />budget. <br />Explanation <br />The purpose of this item is to obtain Council authorization to purchase a 2015 Bobcat S650 and a 2015 <br />milling attachment.
