* Of <br />,-� OP <br />NEW <br />MGHTON <br />d is c it 1� tlol works for you <br />AGENDA SECTION: <br />REPORT DATE: 8/6/2015 <br />MEETING DATE: 8/11/2015 <br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: CONSIDERATION OF QUOTE AND AUTHORIZATION OF <br />CITY PROJECT 15-9, 2015 Treatment Plant #1 Paint Package <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD'S APPROVAL: <br />CITY MANAGER APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this report Comments attached <br />Recommendation: Accept the quote and authorize Heineman Painting, Inc. to perform <br />miscellaneous exterior coating repairs at WTP#1 and other NBCGRS facilities. <br />Legislative History: This work was included in the 2015 annual work plan with the United <br />States Army. <br />Financial Impact: Heineman Painting, Inc. has provided a quote for completion of exterior <br />coating repairs at WTP#1 and other NBCGRS facilities in the amount of $15,750. <br />Explanation: Painting repairs are required at several locations at WTP#1 and other NBCGRS <br />facilities due to fading, cracking, and peeling. Repairs include recoating service and overhead <br />doors, bollards, exhaust louvers, and flashing. <br />Quotes were requested from three painting contractors for this project. Two contractors chose not <br />to submit quotes and one quote was received. An exterior coating repair package was included in <br />the 2015 work plan with a budget of $7,500 for completion of the work. <br />Costs and Funding: The total cost of this project will be funded from Fund 206 — NBCGRS <br />Army Water Fund. <br />Craig Schlichting, P.E. <br />Director of Community Assets & Development <br />Attachments: Barr Letter of Recommendation <br />
