September 22, 2015 Page 1 of 7 <br />�al city of <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />MU r M <br />the city that Works for you THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday <br />September 22, 2015 at 6:30 pm in the New Brighton Council Chambers. <br />Present: Mayor Jacobsen, Councilmembers Bauman, Burg, Jacobsen and Strub <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: Dean Lotter -City Manager, Bob Jacobson -Director of Public Safety, Brenda Davitt- <br />Finance Director <br />Call to Order <br />Mayor Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. <br />Pledte of Allegiance <br />Mayor Jacobsen led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Can to order <br />Pledge of Allegiance <br />Public Comment Forum <br />Public Comment <br />Mayor Jacobsen opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. <br />Forum <br />Tom Gidaro, 1694 23rd Avenue NW, expressed concern with his assessment. Mayor Jacobsen <br />encouraged Mr. Gidaro to voice his concerns during the Public Hearing portion of the meeting. <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Sep oval of tihe <br />, 2015 <br />Approval of the September 22, 2015 Council Agenda. <br />Agenda. <br />Councilmember Bauman had several questions regarding the election judges and requested she <br />be allowed to discuss this item prior to approval of this Consent Agenda item. City Manager <br />Lotter reported that City Clerk Haarstad was not in attendance to address these questions but <br />noted he would attempt to answer questions. <br />Councilmember Bauman requested further information on the absentee judges and questioned <br />why there were only seven head judges and six assistant judges when the City now had eight <br />precincts. City Manager Lotter commented Sue Jeffers would be involved in overseeing the <br />absentee balloting procedure with City Clerk Haarstad. He reported he could speak with the <br />City Clerk regarding the number of head and assistant judges and would report back to the City <br />Council. He anticipated that additional judges could be added in the coming weeks. <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to approve the <br />agenda as submitted. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays -Motion Carried <br />Council Minutes <br />Council Minutes <br />Approval of Council <br />Minutes <br />
