Kimley-Horn prepared the signal justification letter in accordance with MnDOT and Ramsey County standards and coordinated review and comments with the two agencies. The signal justification letter was necessary for the signal work at Old Highway 8 and 10th Street NW. Task 16A—SEQ and Bidding Document Coordination Kimley-Horn performed additional work to coordinate and prepare the Statement of Estimated Quantities (SEQ) and bid proposal form. Kimley-Horn coordinated and generated project bid quantities for the street improvements designed by the City of New Brighton and included them in the SEQ and bid proposal form. Task 17A—Additional Construction Phase Services As a part of the construction phase of the project City staff requested that Kimley-Horn provide on-site observation services for the signal installation at the intersection of Old Hwy 8 and 101h Street NW. Kimley-Horn also provided construction phase services for the Mounds View High School Trail construction in the City of Arden Hills. • Signal Inspection Kimley-Horn provided a field representative for signal construction as requested by City staff. We will provide up to 40 hours of on-site observation. Arden Hills Mounds View High School Trail Construction Based on direction from staff at the City of Arden Hills and New Brighton, Kimley- Horn provided construction phase services for the Mounds View High School Trail project. We have provided assistance in coordination with private utilities, answered questions from the contractor, and provided on-site observation of wall construction activities. The effort required for construction phase services for the Mounds View High School Trail project was 10 hours. Task 18A —Construction Phase Design Assistance Kimley-Horn was asked by City staff to assist with a storm sewer/sanitary sewer design issue between 81h Street NW and g1h Street NW. We discussed and developed a solution to mitigate the sanitary sewer and storm sewer conflict including an exhibit that identified pipe sizes, types, inverts, and grades.
