Consideration of Resolution Adopting the Final 2016 Tax Levy for Lake Diane Storm <br />Sewer Taxing District. <br />City Manager Lotter indicated Community Assets & Development Director Schlichting would be presenting <br />this item to the Council. <br />Community Assets & Development Director Schlichting reported the City has established a Storm <br />Sewer Improvement Taxing District within the City for Lake Diane. A Storm Sewer <br />Improvement Taxing District is an area within the territorial limits of a municipality. The <br />municipality may acquire, construct, maintain, and otherwise improve storm sewer systems <br />and related facilities within the district for the benefit of the district. The costs involved may be <br />recovered by levying tax on all taxable properties within the district. The City adopted a <br />preliminary 2016 tax levy for the Storm Sewer Improvement Taxing District on September 8, <br />2015, for $3,750. A separate tax levy for Lake Diane has been levied for a number of years in <br />the past.
