New Brighton City <br />Code, Chapter 6, Article 6, Section <br />6-693 is hereby amended by adding <br />paragraph C as follows: <br />C. Helipads. defined for the pur- <br />pose of this section as at -grade <br />take -off and landing area for he - <br />licopters, subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. The helipad must be acces- <br />sory to the office use. <br />2. Permitted only on properties <br />containing all of the following attri- <br />butes: <br />a. At least four (4) acres in area or <br />the principal use has been permit - <br />ted via a Planned Development- and <br />b. Abutting Interstates 694 or <br />35W <br />3. Landing pads shall meet the <br />following setbacks: <br />a, at least 320' from multi -family <br />residential uses: <br />b. at least 820' from single family <br />residential uses: <br />c. at least 800' from schools, <br />churches, nursing homes, or similar <br />types of public institutional uses: <br />and <br />d. at least 2500' from another <br />helipad. <br />4. Landing Pads shall be reason - <br />ably screened from public rights, <br />of -way of minor arterial status or <br />greater and include a 36" hedge <br />and/or wall combination around the <br />perimeter. <br />5. Special use permit proce- <br />dures of Sections 8-120 and 8-220 <br />shall be followed except that public <br />hearing notice shall be mailed to <br />each property owner within 1000' <br />of the property under consideration. <br />11. Compliance with the special <br />use standards of Section 8-130. <br />Section 2.
