Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Kunesh-Podein. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call <br /> Members present: Commissioners Brunell, Eischen, Fields, Frischman, Justin, <br /> Kunesh-Podein, McEathron <br /> Members absent: Commissioner Parker and Stenglein <br /> Also Present: <br /> Sandy Breuer, Director of Parks and Recreation; <br /> Jason Hicks, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director <br /> Jim Veiman, Park Maintenance Worker-Forester; <br /> Chris Wolla, Parks Superintendent, <br /> Rob Lundeen, 3912 Fordham Dr.; St. Anthony, MN <br /> Shirley Erstad, Executive Director of Parks and Trails of St. Paul and Ramsey <br /> County;and Council Liaison Brian Strub (sitting in for Council Member Burg) <br /> <br />III. Minutes of January 6, 2016 <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER EISCHEN, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />JUSTIN, TO APPROVE THE JANUARY 6, 2016 MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br /> <br />IV. Tree Sale – Jim Veiman, Parks Maintenance Worker-Forester and <br />Shirley Erstad, Executive Director Friends of Parks and Trails of St. Paul <br />and Ramsey County <br />Jim Veiman gave the presentation regarding the tree sale. Both he and <br />Shirley Erstad answered questions regarding the Tree Sale Program. <br /> <br />b. Community Center Hours of Operation on Sunday Morning – Jason Hicks; <br />Assistant Parks and Recreation Director <br /> Jason Hicks gave the presentation and opened it up for discussion from <br />PREC members. Chair Kunesh-Podein invited the petitioner, Mr. Lundeen, to <br />speak. Mr. Lundeen requested opening earlier, starting this summer on a trial <br />basis. A Commission member felt that would be a good trial and keep data; <br />how many, any new members, etc. Another Commission member felt it would <br />be good to see what other Community Centers have done and do a
