<br />....~ <br /> <br />-.... <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 97-014 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN ON NORTH BOUND <br />mGHVIEW DRIVE AT 13TH STREET NW <br /> <br />WHEREAS Chapter 29-4 (b) of the New Brighton City Code states that the City Council shall <br />designate stop streets by resolution, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Highview Drive forms a tee intersection with 13th Street NW, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS stop signs were installed on east bound and west bound 13th Street NW at Highview <br />Drive many years ago as a deterrent to cut-through traffic and Highview Drive, which would more <br />commonly be the street required to stop, was left uncontrolled, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the uncommon stop signage of this intersection creates a potentially dangerous situation <br />, for Drivers that are unfamiliar with the area, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City Council has detennined that the tee intersection of Highview Drive and 13th <br />, ' Street NW would operate more safely if Highview were also required to stop, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton that a stop <br />sign be installed on north bound Highview Drive at 13th Street NW making the intersection an all- <br />way stop intersection. <br /> <br />Adopted this 25 day of February, 1997. <br /> <br />.~tTEST: <br /> <br />~~ <br />~ltf.?~ <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />!@1 <br /> <br />I Margaret Egan, Finance <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />irector/City Clerk <br /> <br />(Seal) <br />
