<br />.! <br /> <br />" , <br />'I- <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96~0 88 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON PROJECT 95-4, 5TH A VENUE NW AND 10TH STREET <br />NW STREETSCAPE AND REHABILITATION. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the City Council has met and <br />heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment of the improvement of: <br /> <br />LOCATION: The bennefited lots abutting 5th Avenue NW between Old Highway 8 and 10th <br />Street NW, and 10th Street NW between 5th Avenue NW and the I35W bridge. <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />The construction of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, street surfacing, boulevard <br />landscaping, and water services. <br /> <br />;.i <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. <br />2. <br /> <br />The total amount to be assessed is $120,880.76. <br />Such proposed assessment, referred to as Ramsey County Data Processing Improvement <br />Number 6507, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands <br />named therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefitted by the <br />improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br />Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of ten (10) <br />years, the first installment to be payable on or after the first Monday in January, 1997 and shall <br />bear interest at the rate of 7.00 percent per annum from the adoption of this assessment <br />resolution. <br />The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment <br />to the County Auditor pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to <br />the date of payment, to the City Treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire <br />assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution and he may, at any time <br />thereafter, pay the County Treasurer, the balance of assessments remaining unpaid with interest <br />accrued in accordance with the statutes such in case made and provided. <br />The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Auditor <br />to be extended on the property tax list of the County and such assessments shall be collected and <br />paid over the same manner as other municipal taxes. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Adopted this 8th day of October, 1996 <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />! <br />'J <br />!I <br /> <br />M~ <br /> <br />Finance Director/City Clerk <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />:1 <br />
