<br />1 <br /> <br />! <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. --2fi..:.O 79 <br /> <br />d <br />II <br />II <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF MIGHTY DUCKS CAPITAL BONDING <br />FUND. <br /> <br />WHEREAS The Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission (MASC), via the State Capital <br />Bonding Fund, provides for capital funds to assist political subdivisions of the State <br />of Minnesota for development of sports facilities; and <br /> <br />;i <br /> <br />WHEREAS The City of New Brighton desires to participate in the National Sports Center ice <br />complex for ice sports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of New Brighton: <br />1. Estimates that the total cost of developing said facility shall be $9,500,000 and <br />the City of New Brighton is requesting $250,000 from the Mighty Ducks <br />Capital Bonding Fund. <br /> <br /> 2. <br />ii <br />;i <br />( ~ <br />Ii <br />II <br />" <br />" 3. <br />" <br />ij <br />I <br />,I <br /> <br />The City of New Brighton agrees to be a partner of the joint powers agreement <br />which provides for the facility to be operated for its intended purpose for the <br />functional life of the facility which is estimated to be 20 years. <br /> <br /> <br />The City of New Brighton agrees to enter into necessary and required <br />agreements with the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission and other parties <br />for the specific purpose of constructing a sport facility and long-term program <br />direction. <br /> <br />4. That an application be made to the State of Minnesota, Minnesota Amateur <br />Sports Commission, to be included in the Minnesota Amateur Sports <br />Commission's (Governor's) Capital Budget request for an amount presently <br />estimated to be $8,000,000. <br /> <br />5. That Matt Fulton of the City of New Brighton is authorized and directed to <br />execute said application and serve as the official liaison with the Minnesota <br />Amateur Sports Commission. <br /> <br />Ii <br /> <br />'; <br />" <br /> <br />,~ i <br /> <br />~ ! <br />
