Gundlach,
We are pleased to submit this proposal to assist the City of new brighton in
updating its Comprehensive plan. as you know, hoisington koegler Group
(hkGi) has a history of providing planning services to the City that goes all the
way back to 1997, when we collaborated on the vision for the heart of new
brighton Corridor study. in 1998 we also worked with the City to develop a
Comprehensive plan that continues to provide a framework for the City and has
been the foundation for updates by City staff in the past two decades. We are
excited about the potential to once again collaborate with City staff on planning
for the community.
the twin Cities metropolitan area has experienced many changes since the most
recent Comprehensive plan Update in 2008. new brighton and its immediate
surroundings have also experienced changes, and even more changes are on the
horizon. this is a fantastic time for community leaders and community members
to take a closer look at the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead and
establish a shared vision for the community and its future.
as you will see on the pages that follow, hkGi has collaborated with several
metropolitan area communities to develop or update their comprehensive plans.
leading community visioning processes has always been a foundation of our
work, and we have continued to refine and expand our experience in the areas of
housing and redevelopment planning. We have worked with many communities
that, like new brighton, have been fully developed and are now in the next
stages of their evolution. We will be able to bring lessons we’ve learned in those
communities to help new brighton make plans and develop strategies for its
continued growth and development.
brad scheib will serve as the principal in Charge for this project and rita trapp
will serve as project manager. more information about their qualifications can be
found in the project team section of this proposal. if you have questions about
our proposal or would like to discuss the project and our qualifications in greater
detail, brad can be reached a 612.252.7122 or bscheib@hkgi.com and rita can be
reached at 612.252.7135 or rita@hkgi.com.
We appreciate the opportunity to propose on this project, and we look forward to
speaking with you in the future.
sincerely,
brad scheib, aiCp rita trapp, aiCp, leeD ap
vice president planner
City of New BrightoN, MiNNesota iii
