Definitions

Along with the definitions contained in Chapter 2 of the Zoning Code the following shall apply:

ANCILLARY
RECREATIONAL
USES
Recreational elements which are portable and subordinate to a residential
principle use on the property including play apparatus & sporting
equipment with a 200 square feet footprint or smaller.

BLUFF IMPACT
ZONE
The area between the Bluff line and forty (40) feet inland from the bluff.
Comment [JS2]: Suggested changes from DNR
Comment [DP3]: The State rules define BIZ as
the bluff and land located within 20 feet from the
top of the bluff. This more inclusive definition
should be used to properly address standards.

For example, the land alteration standards in this
draft ordinance address alterations within the BIZ.
It’s unclear in the draft ordinance if the bluff is in
the BIZ. This needs to be clarified.

DNR supports the stronger standard of 40 feet.
