WHAT’SNEXT? <br />A Public Hearing is required to be held prior to adopƟon of the proposed Shoreland <br />Ordinance. The hearing will be scheduled for either October 20th or November <br />17th, 2015. The hearing is held by the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Once a public hearing date is scheduled, shoreland owners will get mailed noƟĮca- <br />Ɵon of the hearing date at least 10 days prior to the hearing. <br /> <br />Public comments will be accepted anyƟme. These comments will be forwarded to <br />the Planning Commission, and ulƟmately the City Council, as part of the ordinance <br />adopƟon process. <br /> <br />Please send all public comments on the proposed Shoreland Ordinance to Janice <br />Gundlach, Assistant Director of Community Assets & Development/Planning Direc- <br />tor. WriƩen comments may be dropped oī at City Hall or emailed to <br />Janice.Gundlach@newbrightonmn.gov. <br /> <br />Once the Planning Commission holds the public hearing and makes a formal recom- <br />mendaƟon on adopƟon of the ordinance, it will be scheduled for City Council con- <br />sideraƟon. At the earliest, the proposed ordinance would be scheduled for City <br />Council approval someƟme in November, 2015. <br /> <br />Depending on the level of public concern, comments, revisions, etc. the Planning <br />Commission and City Council meeƟng schedule described herein could be delayed. <br /> <br />Once the City Council adopts the ordinance, it doesn’t become oĸcial unƟl the ordi- <br />nance is published in the oĸcial City newspaper (Sun Focus). <br /> <br />All the informaƟon at tonight’s open house is available on the City’s website.
