This is your chance <br />to check it out! Open gym time will be <br />set aside for Pickleball players of all skill <br />levels at the New Brighton Community <br />Center. If you are a beginner, players will <br />help you learn the game. Several wooden <br />paddle racquets and plastic poly balls <br />will be available for players to use during <br />open gym. Please bring your own racquet <br />if you have one. A weekly schedule of open <br />gym time is available online or posted at <br />the facility. <br />Expectations are clearly posted in the <br />gymnasium. You must have a wristband <br />to use the gymnasium and no food <br />or beverages are allowed. Respectful <br />communication and behavior is required <br />at all times. Those choosing not to follow <br />the gymnasium expectations will be <br />asked to leave the facility and are not <br />eligible for a refund. <br />PLEASE NOTE: The gymnasium will close <br />early on the following days due to private <br />rentals: <br />Monday, June 6 ............1:00 pm <br />Tuesday, June 7 ............1:00 pm <br />Friday, June 10 ..............3:00 pm <br />Open Badminton <br />Everyone has played badminton at their <br />family picnics, now it is time to play <br />indoors on a gym floor. Badminton is <br />a racket sport that originated in the <br />1800's. It is a relatively low impact way <br />to exercise, as well as socialize. Open <br />gym time will be set aside for badminton <br />players of all skill levels at the New <br />Brighton Community Center. Rackets and <br />shuttlecocks will be available for players <br />to use during open gym.
