Recycling Background - Scott Gigrich; Code Compliance Officer <br />In late June the Council directed staff and PREC to look at the recycling <br />program to see if there is any way to improve. Currently the City has single <br />sort for New Brighton residents. Cost is about $33/year per resident. This is <br />currently about the second lowest in Ramsey County. <br />B. Recycling PowerPoint - Jean Buckley; Health Educator Ramsey County <br />Environmental Health <br />Jean Buckley stated a new facility was purchased by Ramsey and <br />Washington County. They work together to administer joint county solid <br />waste activities. New technologies are emerging; higher recycling goals, new <br />commercial recycling mandates, the existing agreement between the two <br />counties and the private Newport facility owner expired at the end of 2015.
