Writing Fact Statements for the Did You Know Program

Commission members moved to the conference room after the regular meeting.

Commissioners each brought a fact to the worksession and learned how to apply the fact to the New
Brighton Parks and Recreation Department.

The first fact mentioned was: A young sapling absorbs between 1.0-1.3 lbs of carbon per year. This could
be applied to the Arbor Day tree sale information. Director Breuer also noted that this could correlate
with the City’s Missouri Gravel Bed program.

Commission members continued to work on facts they had brought to the worksession.

The worksession ended at 8:25 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Sandy Breuer
Director of Parks and Recreation
