Consideration of a Proclamation Supporting the Guard and Reserve <br />n of a <br />Piocllarna pporting <br />the Guard and Reserve <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Strub to consider a <br />Proclamation Supporting the Guard and Reserve. <br />Mr. Murphy introduced himself to the City Council and thanked the Council for offering their support of the <br />National Guard and Federal Reserve. He discussed the number of Minnesota soldiers that have been <br />mobilized in recent years. <br />Mayor Johnson read a proclamation in full for the record supporting the National Guard and Federal Reserve. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen appreciated the partnership being established between the guard and the City. He <br />discussed his previous military career and was proud of the partnerships being established with employers to <br />assist returning soldiers and veterans. He thanked the City of New Brighton for offering their continued <br />support to veterans and soldiers. <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Strub asked the Boy Scout in the audience to come forward and introduce himself to the City <br />Council. <br />John River, Scout from Troop #93, reported he was working on his Communications Merit Badge this <br />evening.
