J <br />February 14, 2017 Page 2 of 6 <br />Hans Rosacker, 1639 14th Avenue NW, stated he has lived on the lake for the past 30 years. <br />He discussed how the lake has changed over the past 10 years and recommended the Council <br />support the treatment of Long Lake. <br />John Brokeltanimer. 1527 14th Avenue, reported he emailed the Council. He explained he <br />would not be living in New Brighton if not for Long Lake. He described how milfoil has <br />impacted the lake and requested the Council assist the lake association in treating the lake until <br />,joint efforts could be made with the County. state and other local agencies. <br />Wayne Eck, 1331 12th Avenue NW, concurred with the comments made and recommended the <br />Council support the treatment of Long Lake. <br />Gayle Haine, 1740 Peninsula Drive, explained she was a newcomer to the City of New i <br />Brighton, noting she moved to the City last year from Roseville. She reported she was <br />disappointed to see how the weeds were impacting Long Lake and appreciated the City's <br />consideration in funding the lake treatment. <br />Bob Gabler, 2190 Lakebrook Drive, stated he has lived on the lake since 1998. He explained <br />he has loved living on the lake but noted his boys do not even want to use the lake anymore. <br />He believed Long Lake was an asset to the entire community. He encouraged the Council to <br />assist in taking the lead and requested the Council approve the lake treatment. <br />Councilmember Bauman disclosed that she lives on Long Lake. <br />Mayor Johnson reported the City Council would be considering the lake treatment expense at <br />their February 28th meeting.
