Paetzmck introduced Commander Ryan O'Neil to the Council and stated Commander O'Neil would be <br />providing the Council with a presentation on the Ramsey County Violent Crime Enforcement Team. <br />Commander Ryan O'Neil provided the Council with a presentation on the great work being completed by the <br />Ramsey County Violent Crime Enforcement team. He reported this team was made up of six different <br />agencies. He commented on the rising concerns surrounding meth, heroin and opioids in Ramsey County and <br />throughout the nation. He reported Minnesota was deemed by the Federal government a high drug trafficking <br />area. He provided the Council with numerous examples of seizures and arrests that occurred based on the <br />work completed by his team. <br />Deputy John Ferrier introduced the Council to his K9 Milo and noted he was a four-year-old Black Lab. He <br />reported money was donated from a generous couple in Roseville to fund this narcotic canine officer. He <br />anticipated Milo would be able to serve 10 to 12 years as a drug dog. He explained Milo worked well in-house <br />seizures along with vehicles, planes or larger trucks. <br />Mayor Johnson encouraged residents to drop off their unused prescription medications at a local law <br />enforcement center.
