Recognition of the Stockyard Days Committee Members <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson read a proclamation of appreciation in full for the record recognizing the individuals that <br />serve on the Stockyard Days Committee and thanked them for sharing their time and talents with the <br />community. <br />Councilmember Strub thanked the committee members for their volunteerism. He asked how individuals <br />could get involved in Stockyard Days. Brian Vickery, 333 10th Street NW, thanked the Council and City for <br />their continued support. He then described the numerous ways residents could get involved in Stockyard <br />Days. He noted G.B. Leighton would be providing entertainment at this year’s event. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen inquired if local businesses could provide sponsorships for Stockyard Days. <br />Mayor Johnson discussed the numerous ways local businesses could get involved to assist in sponsoring <br />events for Stockyard Days. <br />Councilmember Burg thanked all of the individuals that participate in this event and stated she appreciated the <br />work being done by the New Brighton Ambassadors. <br />Councilmember Bauman asked if the antique car run would continue. Mr. Vickery stated this event would <br />occur in 2017. <br />Councilmember Bauman thanked the Stockyard Days committee members for all of their hard work and <br />stated she looked forward to attending this years’ events. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen agreed and stated he appreciated the volunteerism being demonstrated by the <br />Stockyard Days committee members. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />1.
