Pam Stegora Axberg <br /> <br /> <br />Pam Stegora Axberg currently serves as a Senior Vice President - Optum Behavioral and Physical <br />Health Operations. In this role she leads clinical and administrative operations for 33 million <br />members and 160,000 providers for Optum's behavioral and physical health products. She is <br />also responsible for aligning and building across Optum an end-to-end provider experience <br />service model. Prior to this, she advised the federal government (CMS) on the implementation <br />of the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (healthcare.gov). She has held a multitude of executive <br />leadership roles since joining UnitedHealthcare in 2005. She successfully renegotiated two <br />strategic partnerships which further solidified multi-year partnerships exceeding $1B in value. <br />She led the transformation of the training organization, which supports 20,000 worldwide <br />employees, to diversity and integrate training delivery modes, including e-learning, while <br />improving the efficacy to employee quality and productivity <br /> <br />Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, she spent 20 years at Qwest Communications/U S WEST <br />where she was a Senior Vice President and Officer. While at Qwest Communications, she held <br />numerous executive positions in Operations, Engineering, Customer Service and Product <br />Development in their data, voice and wireless organizations. She led national field and center <br />operations with organizations exceeding 5000 bargained for and non-bargained for employees. <br />She was part of the service transformation which enabled entry into the long distance market, <br />and improved service performance from last to first in industry service benchmarks. Her <br />organization lead the technology replacement and modernization of the switching infrastructure <br />from analog to digital as well as the introduction of IP technology. <br /> <br />In addition to her corporate leadership roles, Pam is committed to the development of girls and <br />women’s leadership. Pam currently serves on the Board of Directors for Girls Scouts of River <br />Valley. She previously served on the YWCA Minneapolis Board of Directors including previous <br />positions of Board Chair, Finance Chair, and Circle of Women Chair. For over a decade, she has <br />been the troop leader for Girl Scout Troop 50948 and served as the Registrar for the New <br />Brighton Girl Scout Service Unit. She is also a member of the Women Business Leaders in <br />Healthcare Advisory Board as well as the Board Development Committee for St. Catherine <br />University. <br />
