<br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Consider Authorization to Upgrade (2) 2016 5600 Turbo Toolcats and (1) <br />5610 Toolcat. <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD’S APPROVAL: Jason Hicks, Acting Director of Park and Recreation <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL: Dean Lotter <br /> <br />No comments to supplement this report ___ Comments attached ___ <br /> <br />Recommendation: In 2016 the City of New Brighton entered into an agreement with Lano Equipment to <br />annually upgrade (2) 5600 Turbo Toolcats and (1) 5610 Turbo Toolcat. These will replace our current (3) <br />Toolcats which were purchased from Lano Equipment in 2016. These Toolcats will continue to be on an <br />annual upgrade replacement plan with Lano Equipment. Staff recommends continuing the agreement <br />with Lano Equipment and take delivery after April 15, 2017. <br /> <br /> <br />Financial Impact: These Toolcats will be purchased from Lano Equipment using the Fleet Fund. <br /> <br /> <br /> 2017 5600 Toolcat upgrade $8,790.52 <br /> 2017 5600 Toolcat upgrade $8,790.52 <br /> 2017 5610 Toolcat upgrade $5,042.85 <br /> <br /> Cost to upgrade: $22,623.89 <br /> <br />Explanation: Staff recommends continuing this annual agreement for the replacement of (3) Toolcats. <br />By continuing this agreement maintenance costs are at a minimum as the machines are covered by <br />warranty. <br /> <br />Costs and Funding: The cost to upgrade all three Toolcats is $22,623.89.
