RESOLUTION NO. _____ <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE NEW BRIGHTON LIONS <br />WHEREAS, Council approved the purchase of playground structure and safety surfacing <br />at Lions Park on July 11, 2017, <br />WHEREAS, Lions International celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2016 and each <br />chapter was challenged to support a centennial project. New Brighton Lions chose to <br />support the New Brighton Parks and Recreation Department and specifically New <br />Brighton Lions Park as their centennial project, <br />WHEREAS, this is the second of four annual $25,000 donations that New Brighton Lions <br />plan to provide to the City to be used for the purposes of establishing recreational <br />facilities at New Brighton Lions Park. This donation will be used to fund the purchase <br />and installation of the New Brighton Lions Park Playground, <br />WHEREAS, there have been previous donations received for Lions Park from Hypertherm <br />HOPE Foundation on August 8, 2017, the Couch Family Foundation on May 23, 2017 <br />and New Brighton Lions on May 10, 2016, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Council approve the resolution accepting a <br />donation of $25,000 from the New Brighton Lions Club. <br />ADOPTED this 26th day of September by the New Brighton City Council with a vote of _____ <br />ayes and _____ nays. <br />Valerie Johnson, Mayor <br />ATTEST: Dean R.
