October 24 , 2017 Page 1 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday <br />October 24, 2017 at 6:30 pm in the New Brighton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Johnson, Councilmembers Bauman, Burg, Jacobsen and Strub <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Also Present: Dean Lotter-City Manager, Sarah Sonsalla-City Attorney, Brenda Davitt-Finance <br />Director <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance <br />Mayor Johnson led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Public Comment Forum <br />Mayor Johnson opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. <br /> <br />Jeanne Frischman, 1409 Long Lake Road, introduced herself to the City Council. <br />Heidi Danielson, 2539 Valley View Lane, stated she was before the Council on behalf o f <br />Neighbors United. She encouraged the Council to offer their support for the Mounds View <br />School District Referendum. She noted she served on the facilities task force for the school <br />district. She described the work that was done by this task force over the past year to evaluate <br />the needs of the school district and encouraged New Brighton residents to get out and vote on <br />November 7th. <br /> <br />Robert Forman, 123 14th Avenue, explained he moved to New Brighton several years ago for <br />the schools from North St. Paul.
