The goal of the Plan is the following: <br />1.Optimize pavement service life <br />2.Stabilize maintenance requirements <br />3.Minimize financial impact on the community <br />4.Provide uniformity and consistency in the treatment of pavement problems <br />5.Improve chances of obtaining project approvals <br />6.Provide a schedule for correction of utility and drainage <br />Pavements typically do not last longer than 30 years without incurring significant maintenance <br />expenses. As such, the replacement of parking lots is scheduled on a 30-year cycle. <br />Page 15
