Rains.yy C minty <br />City Manager Lotter reported Ramsey County Sheriff Sexier had a presentation for the Council. <br />shc1iII s Uixkk - Slk iif <br />Ramsey County Sheriff Serier thanked the Council for their time and reviewed the events occurring at the <br />J`ick Seii`'r <br />Sheriffs office. He explainer[ 2017 was a big hiring year for his department and discussed how the County <br />was working to reach out to colru-nunities of color and other minority groups. He described the changes being <br />made at the jail and commented on the new scheduling model that would begin in January of 2018. He <br />reported the County would begin providing police services for Falcon Heights h -ginning next year. Further <br />discussion ensued regarding the County's community engagement efforts. He thanked all of the New <br />Brighton residents for supporting the Fright Farm and discussed how funds from this event benefits the <br />residents of Ramsey County. <br />Councilmember Strub thanked SheriffSerier for his time. He commented on the 4uiuwing drug concerns in <br />the community and stated he alij) cc:ialed the strong relatioiLshil) the County had with the New Brighton <br />Public Safety Department.
