RECOGNITION, NEWS AND INFORMATION

After 34 years of service, Deputy Fire Chief Tom Deschane has made the difficult
decision to retire. DFC Deschane has been a leader within the agency with regards to
building construction, equipment and apparatus maintenance, on scene command, and his
continued willingness to help wherever it is needed. He leaves behind a legacy of being a
part of training and developing all of the current command staff. His retirement will
leave a large void within the department but we wish him the best with being able to
sleep through the nights soundly knowing he will not be woken up in the middle of the
night.
