2 <br />1. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION <br /> <br />On July 1st, New Brighton squads responded to assist a party remove an extremely <br />intoxicated person from their home. Upon their arrival, they located a 47 year old <br />Columbia Heights man that was bleeding from his mouth. He was so intoxicated that he <br />fell down and struck his face causing the bleeding. The officers tried to give the party a <br />preliminary breath test but he was so intoxicated he was unable to provide a sufficient <br />sample. A very weak sample was obtained and revealed the party had a BAC of .30 <br />minimally. Since the party was unable to stand or take care of himself, Allina medics <br />were dispatched to the scene and the party was transported to HCMC. <br /> <br />On July 4th, New Brighton squads assisted St. Anthony PD with a traffic stop where the <br />driver was a convicted felon and he was in Possession of a Firearm. The party was taken <br />into custody without incident. <br /> <br />On July 5th, squads were dispatched on a “creepy old guy” taking photos of people on the <br />beach. Officers located a 68 year old Shoreview man who admitted to taking the photos <br />over the last month. He was advised to discontinue this behavior and to leave the park. <br />The lifeguards advised to call if he returns and continues with this behavior. <br /> <br />On July 6th, squads were dispatched on an intoxicated party laying on the shoreline with <br />beer cans all around him. The party (a 49 year old New Brighton man) was wet, dirty <br />and intoxicated. Routine checks revealed a gross misdemeanor warrant for Criminal <br />Neglect. He was taken into custody and transported to the jail without incident. <br /> <br />On July 7th, New Brighton squads responded on two elderly New Brighton residents <br />fighting. Upon their arrival, officers learned a 70 and 75 year old apartment residents <br />who got into a physical altercation about one spreading lies about the other. Neither <br />party wanted to press charges. Officers advised them to go avoid each other. <br /> <br />On July 8th, squads assisted State Troopers on 35W at County Road E2 with a fatal <br />accident where several other parties were taken to the hospital. <br /> <br />On July 11th, a New Brighton officer took a burglary report where an AK-47 assault rifle <br />was taken. The investigation is on-going. <br /> <br />On July 11th, squads responded to a residence where the boyfriend of the homeowner’s <br />daughter had snuck into the home even though the homeowner has told him he is not <br />welcome in his home. The homeowner chased the boyfriend outside where a physical <br />altercation ensued. Squads arrived and ended up arresting the boyfriend for Disorderly <br />Conduct. He was booked at the Ramsey County jail. <br /> <br />On July 12th, squads were dispatched on a party passed out by Old Hwy 8 and Hwy 96. <br />They were able to wake the 28 year old Minneapolis man. He agreed to submit to a <br />preliminary breath test. He provided a weak breath sample that registered a .32 BAC. <br />Due to his being a danger to himself, he was transported to the hospital. Then later that <br />day squads dealt with another intoxicated party waiting for an UBER ride. He tested a <br />.24 BAC and was transported to a nearby hotel. <br />
