6 <br />Notes: St. Paul PD officer arrested a teen driver in a stolen car. Rain, rain and more rain <br />throughout the shift. <br /> <br />Mounds View Police hosted the Halloween weekend TZD Hi-Viz DWI Saturation on <br />Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Nine overtime funded officers and <br />four volunteer reserve officers focused on Mounds View Blvd, Interstate 35W and Hwy <br />10 that yielded the following: <br /> <br />• 93 traffic stops <br />• 6 people taken to jail <br />• 6 DWI arrests <br />• 1 driver cited for DAR/DAS <br />• 3 vehicles towed <br /> <br />Notes: North St. Paul officer made two 3rd Degree DWI arrests during the shift. <br /> <br />On October 11th, DWI Officer Farmer stops a vehicle for speeding and other moving <br />violations. The driver, a 29 year old Circle Pines man, has a Felony Controlled <br />Substance warrant out for his arrest and shows signs of intoxication. The driver is <br />arrested for the warrant and tests at a .11 BAC. He is booked for the warrant and 4th <br />degree DWI. <br /> <br />On October 15th, DWI Officer Farmer stops a 28 year old Lauderdale woman for driving <br />violations. The driver shows signs of impairment and is arrested for DWI. She takes the <br />breath test which revealed a .11 BAC. Due to a previous DWI, she is booked for a 3rd <br />degree DWI. <br /> <br />On October 20th, DWI Officer Farmer stopped a vehicle for speeding and a lane <br />violation. The driver, a 57 year old Mounds View man, smelled of alcohol and failed <br />field sobriety tests. The driver was arrested and found to be in possession of cocaine. A <br />breath test of the drive revealed a BAC of .15. The driver was booked for the Possession <br />of a Controlled Substance and his vehicle was held for forfeiture. Pending additional <br />charges will be for 4th degree DWI. <br /> <br />Sgt. Nelson and Officer Farmer attended the Ramsey County Traffic Safety Initiative <br />Awards Banquet and Dinner on October 5th. Officer Farmer was awarded with the “Hat <br />Trick” hockey stick for having 3 DWI in one shift. <br /> <br />IV. CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE SECTION (CIS), SCHOOL <br />RESOURCE OFFICER (SRO) and VIOLENT CRIME ENFORCEMENT <br />TEAM (VCET) ACTIVITY <br /> <br />This section contains information regarding the Criminal Investigative Section <br />(Detectives) and our School Resource Officers (Irondale, Highview, the Elementary <br />Schools/ Area Learning Center) and the member of the Ramsey County Violent Crime <br />Enforcement Team (VCET). This includes summary data of investigations and <br />clearances by the Criminal Investigative Section. <br />
