<br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />Regular Meeting – February 21, 2017 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Chairperson Erin Nichols-Matkaiti, Commissioners Steve Danger, Marvin Deick, Jeanne Frischman, <br />Dania Miwa, and Melissa Murphy <br /> <br />Absent: Commissioner Verne McPherson <br /> <br />Also Present: Janice Gundlach- Assistant Director of Community Assets & Development/Planning Director, <br />and Brian Strub-Councilmember <br /> <br />Agenda Review: There were no changes to the agenda. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes: <br />(A) January 17, 2017 regular meeting minutes <br />(B) January 17, 2017 work session minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Danger, seconded by Commissioner Deick, to approve the January 17, 2017 <br />meeting minutes as presented. <br /> <br />Approved 6-0. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Danger, seconded by Commissioner Deick, to approve the January 17, 2017 <br />work session meeting minutes as presented. <br /> <br />Approved 6-0. <br /> <br />Council Action: Councilmember Strub explained he was sitting in for Councilmember Jacobsen this evening. <br />He thanked the Planning Commission for the work they were doing on the Temporary Family Health Care <br />Dwelling Ordinance. He discussed the neighborhood meeting that would be held on Thursday, February 23rd at <br />Freedom Park and invited the Commission members to attend and be a part of the Comprehensive Planning <br />process. He reported the City Council passed a norms of behavior at its last meeting. He read the norms of <br />behavior in full for the record. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Information & Discussion: <br /> <br />(A) Draft Ordinance concerning Temporary Family Health Care Dwellings <br /> <br />Gundlach reviewed the draft Temporary Family Health Care Dwellings Ordinance noting the changes that had <br />been made since the Commission’s previous meeting. She explained the next step would be to schedule a <br />public hearing for the March Planning Commission meeting. While a public hearing isn’t technically required <br />because this ordinance will become part of the City Code, and not the Zoning Code, staff is recommending the
