History <br />January 5, 2016 - New Brighton Parks and Recreation received member petition to open the NBCC at 8:00 am on Sunday mornings. <br /> <br />January 26, 2016 – Council referred the petition requesting the hours of NBCC to open at 8:00 am on Sunday to the Parks, Recreational and Environmental Commission (PREC) for their review and recommendation. <br /> <br />March 2, 2016 – PREC recommended adjusting the hours on Sunday to 8:00 am on a trial basis beginning October 2016 through April 2017. PREC will review the hours in 2017 and make a recommendation to continue, discontinue or adjust moving forward. <br /> <br />March 22, 2016 – Council approved extending the Sunday hours of operation at the New Brighton Community Center (NBCC) to open to the public at 8:00 am on Sundays, instead of 10:00 am, beginning in October 2016 through April of 2017. <br /> <br />
