RESOLUTION NO. 17- <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A 2017 METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />STORMWATER GRANT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton supported the grant application made to the Metropolitan <br />Council for a Stormwater Grant. The project is to develop a water re-use project in the New Brighton <br />Lions Park adjacent to the Long Lake Regional Park and trails. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton recognizes the twenty five (25) percent (up to $50,000) <br />match requirement for the Stormwater Grant, and has secured the non-state cash matching funds for this <br />project. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, <br />Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. That City Staff is authorized to accept the Stormwater Grant for water re-use features that will <br />be maintained for a period of no less than 20 years. <br /> <br />2. That the proper City officers are authorized to execute such grant contract and any amendments <br />thereto. <br /> <br />3. The Director of Community Assets and Development, the City Engineer, is hereby designated <br />as the engineer for this improvement and is hereby authorized to proceed with the preparation <br />of the plans and specifications. <br /> <br />4.
