<br /> <br />MINUTES <br />New Brighton Economic Development Commission <br />Regular Meeting – April 5, 2017 <br />7:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Members/Liaisons Present: Chair Paul Zisla, Commissioners Bob Benke, Emily Dunsworth, Monica <br />Garcia-Perez (arrived at 7:33 a.m.), Kevin Peck, Mike Murlowski, Harry Carter and Graeme Allen <br /> <br />Members/Liaisons Absent: None <br /> <br />Staff Present: Janice Gundlach- Assistant Director of Community Assets & Development/Planning <br />Director, Craig Schlichting-Director of Community Assets & Development, and Councilmember Gina <br />Bauman <br />Also Present: <br />Call to Order <br />Chairperson Zisla called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Motion by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Benke to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />Approved 7-0 <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Motion by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Allen to approve the minutes from the <br />March 1, 2017 meeting. <br /> <br />Approved 7-0 <br /> <br />Report from Council Liaison <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the Council recognized Trevor Hamdorf on his promotion to Deputy <br />Director of Public Safety at their last meeting. She indicated the Council has also been working on <br />interviewing and appointing new Commissioners. Staff commented on the new agreement being <br />reached between the City and TUD SUV. <br /> <br />Welcome New Commissioners <br />Gundlach welcomed new Commissioner Emily Dunsworth to the EDC and thanked her for her service <br />to the City of New Brighton. She reported the EDC would be welcoming on additional member to the <br />group in May. <br /> <br />Chair Recommendation for Upcoming Year <br />Gundlach requested the EDC appoint a Chair for the remainder of 2017. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Murlowski, seconded by Commissioner Benke to appoint Paul Zisla Chair of <br />the EDC for 2017. <br /> <br />Approved 8-0 <br />
