<br />commented on the City of New Brighton’s strategic planning process that occurred on an annual basis. <br />It was noted a small area plan would be another good step for the Old Highway 8 corridor. <br /> <br />Gundlach commented on the importance of the zoning and guiding for a property being properly <br />aligned, and discussed the future redevelopment of the Korean Church. <br /> <br />Further discussion ensued regarding the New Brighton City Code and zoning map. <br /> <br />Commissioner Allen asked if the City met with developers. Gundlach stated she does hold meeting with <br />developers from time to time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dunsworth questioned what area of the City would have the best return on investment <br />(ROI) for a redevelopment project. Brad Scheib explained the small area planning process would <br />provide the City greater information on the ROI for potential projects. He anticipated that a projects <br />along Silver Lake Road would do well. <br /> <br />Councilmember Bauman commented on the buy in that was needed from the neighbors surrounding the <br />Korean Church. <br /> <br />Commissioner Allen stated he enjoyed the sense of place conversations the EDA was having and hoped <br />this would assist in shaping the Comp Plan as a visionary document. <br /> <br />Commissioner Murlowski looked forward to seeing the Korean Church being redeveloped. <br /> <br />Chair Zisla wanted to see the City remain consistent with respect to future redevelopment in order to <br />further enhance the community. <br /> <br />Commissioner Benke commented on the traffic concerns he has heard regarding Long Lake Road. <br /> <br />Adjourn <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:03 am <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Janice Gundlach <br />Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development/Director of Planning <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
