Annual Update — NYFS Director Jerry Hromatka. <br />This item was removed from the agenda <br />2. Annual New Brighton IT Report — IT Administrator Andre Barte. <br />IT Administrator Andre Barte introduced himself to the Council noting he has worked for the City for the past <br />25 years. He described how technology has changed over the past 25 years and discussed the systems in <br />place throughout the City that he was responsible for. He noted his department oversaw coverage of City <br />meetings,160 computers, 60 Pads, 74 cell phones, 50 servers, the network conurulnicaitions between six <br />buildings and 200 telephones. He reviewed his depwitiients accomplishments from 2017 which included <br />four new surface pro computers that were installed in the City's fire trucks, Max Galaxy installed for Paries <br />and Recreation for their online registration, fiber was run to the golf course, along with a new IT ticketing <br />system and a move for the DMV office. The goals for 2018 were to exchange Outlook to 2017, update <br />domain controllers, update the computer update system, water treatment premise server install, and an NSX <br />deployment. <br />Mayor Johnson thanked the IT Department for all of their great work on behalf of the City of New Brighton. <br />COUI]Ci lnrcnibcr Jacobsen thanked IT Administrator Barte for being a great IT manager and for working as a <br />volunteer fire fighter as well. <br />Councilmember Dunsworth thanked IT Administrator Barte for his efforts. <br />Councilmember Allen thanked IT Administrator Barte and his dep�utment for their excelitional work. <br />City Manager Lotter commended the IT Department for a job well done and thanked the Council for their <br />continued support. <br />3. Proclamation for the Tibetan Independence. <br />Councilmember Allen.provided the Council with back-rorurd information on the 59h Anniversary of the <br />Tibetan uprising against China. He noted the City of New Brighton has a large population of Tibetans and <br />requested the Council declare March 10'' to be Tibet Day in the City of New Brighton. <br />Motion by Councilmember Dunsworth, seconded by Councilmember Allen to Declare <br />March 10, 2018 to be Tibet Day in the City of New Brighton. <br />Mayor Johnson read a proclamation in full for the record declaring March I Y' to be Tibet Day in the City of <br />Commission Minutes <br />Snecial Order of <br />Business <br />1.
