RESOLUTION NO. 18- <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT <br />2018 URBAN STORMWATER REMEDIATION COST-SHARE AGREEMENT. <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton supported the grant application made to the Metropolitan <br />Council for a Stormwater Grant. The project is to develop a water re-use project in the New Brighton <br />Lions Park adjacent to the Long Lake Regional Park and trails, and <br /> WHEREAS, Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) on behalf of the City of New Brighton was <br />awarded $150,000 in grant funding from the Metropolitan Council, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton applied for an additional $50,000 RCWD 2018 Urban <br />Stormwater Cost-Share Program agreement, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton was selected and approved for funding up to $47,500 in <br />funding by the RCWD Board of Managers on February 28, 2018. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, <br />Minnesota: <br />1.That City Staff is authorized to accept a 2018 Urban Stormwater Remediation Cost-Share Grant <br />Stormwater Grant in the amount of $47,500. <br />2.That the Director of Community Assets and Development is hereby authorized to execute the <br />Cost-Share agreement and any amendments thereto. <br />ADOPTED this 10th day of April, 2018, by the New Brighton City Council with a vote of _____ ayes and <br />_____ nays. <br />ATTEST: <br />_________________________ <br />Valerie Johnson <br />Mayor <br />_________________________ <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager <br />_________________________ <br />Sandra Daniloff <br />Deputy City Clerk <br />(SEAL)
