Authorized the Director of Community Assets <br />and Development to enter into professional services agreements with American <br />Engineering Testing and WSB and Associates, Inc. <br />January 18, 2018 Neighborhood Informational Meeting <br />February 7, 2018 Staff met with the Parks, Recreation, and Environmental Committee <br />February 13, 2018 City Council accepted Feasibility Study and set Public Hearing <br />March 13, 2018 *Public Hearing and Ordered Project <br /> <br />*Notices of the Public Improvement Hearing were mailed to property owners to be assessed for the project and <br />also published in the newspaper as required by law. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: The total estimated project cost is $3,780,000. The Feasibility Study contains cost estimates, <br />cost breakdowns, and recommended funding. <br /> <br />Explanation: The purpose of this item is to advance the project to the next step, which is to publicly advertise <br />for bids. Bids are tentatively scheduled to be opened on May 22, 2018, with construction to begin in June 2018. <br />This project consists of the reconstruction of approximately 1.85 miles of residential streets by the removal of the <br />existing bituminous surfacing, removal and replacement of broken or settled sections of concrete curb and gutter, <br />storm sewer construction, watermain and hydrant replacement, street excavation and grading, aggregate base, <br />bituminous surfacing, and boulevard repair improvements on the following streets: <br /> <br />Pike Lake Drive - 14th Street NW to Thorndale Avenue <br />Highview Drive <br />Thorndale Avenue <br />12th Street NW <br />13th Street NW <br />- <br />- <br />- <br />- <br />Pike Lake Drive to 13th Street NW <br />Pike Lake Drive to Robin Lane <br />Robin Lane to Pike Lake Drive <br />Highview Drive to Pike Lake Drive <br />AGENDA SECTION: Consent <br />REPORT DATE: April 5, 2018 <br />MEETING DATE: April 10, 2018
