Proclamation CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON WHEREAS Cor Wilson is retiring from her role as Executive Director of the North Suburban Communications Commission and North Suburban Access Corporation on June 8th; and WHEREAS Cor has served in the position since 1991; and WHEREAS She was instrumental in building a leading community media center in the North Suburbs and overseeing numerous franchise agreements with cable companies; and WHEREAS Cor has represented the City of New Brighton and other cities on a national level as President of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors ; and WHERAS She also represented New Brighton and other cities on a regional level by serving as President of the Minnesota Association of Community Telecommunications Administrators; and WHEREAS During the course of Cor’s career she has mentored and trained countless employees ; and WHEREAS Numerous local service organizations have benefited from Cor’s participation, including the New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary Club in which Cor served as President from 1997-1998 and 2012-2013; and WHEREAS The work of Cor has greatly benefited the City of New Brighton and it’s residents and will continue to do so for many years to come ; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, in recognition of Cor’s twenty-seven years of service to the citizens of New Brighton through her work with the cable commission, we present this proclamation and offer our sincerest congratulations to: Cor Wilson and extend our heartfelt thanks and wish Cor good luck in her future endeavors.
