She discussed a program she was working on with NYFS to partner youth with seniors. She explained the Planning Commission would be meeting next on Tuesday, May 15th. Paul Jacobsen Councilmember Jacobsen offered his thanks to City Manager Lotter for his strong leadership and for the presentation he made at the Town Hall meeting. He thanked the City Council for working together in a professional manner for the betterment of the community. He noted the PREC met last week and received their orientation from staff. Emily Dunsworth Councilmember Dunsworth thanked all of the residents that attended the Open House last Saturday. She believed this event was very well done and she was very impressed by staff’s efforts. She noted she would be attending the Public Safety meeting on Monday, May 14th. She explained Saturday, May 12th was the Ramsey County Warrant Resolution Day at the High School for the Performing Arts in St. Paul from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. She encouraged residents to only burn clean wood within their bonfires. She reported the Farmer’s Market would be open again on Wednesday, June 20th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the United Theological Seminary parking lot. Graeme Allen Councilmember Allen reported the EDC met on Wednesday, May 2nd where the group received an orientation and reviewed nine concept proposals for the Korean Church. He noted the EDC would be holding a Special Meeting on Wednesday, May 23rd at 7:30 a.m. He stated New Brighton Cleanup Day would be held on Saturday, May 19th from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. He thanked City Manager Lotter for his kind works and commended the City Council for having a positive working relationship. He thanked CTV for recording and being present at the Open House. He discussed the multi-jurisdictional law enforcement and fire training that would occur at the Korean Church on May 21-23. Mayor Johnson Mayor Johnson thanked all of the residents that attended the recent Open House. She explained the United Theological Seminary would be moving and had a buyer. She noted the Planning Commission would be discussing this matter on Tuesday, May 15th and the City Council would be addressing the matter on Tuesday, May 22nd. She welcomed the public to attend the Special EDC meeting on Wednesday, May 23rd where proposals for the Korean Church will be discussed. She reported the Inclusive Community Task Force would be meeting next on Monday, May 21st. Mayor Johnson stated she was pleased to report the gravity rail would be installed this week within Lions Park. She commented on the great work being done by NYFS and discussed the recent suicide that occurred at Mounds View High School. She encouraged the Council to visit the New Brighton Historical Society’s Facebook page to view their most recent presentation on TCAAP and for residents to become members of the Historical Society. Mayor Johnson commented Mother’s Day was Sunday, May 13th. She wished all mother’s a Happy Mother’s Day.
