Paetznick, Director of Public Safety <br />CITY MANAGER APPROVAL: <br /> <br /> <br />No comments to supplement this report _______ Comments attached ______ <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Approval of the Agreement between the City of New Brighton and the Mounds View School <br />District for School Resource Officer (SRO) services at Irondale High School, Highview Middle <br />School, Bel Air Elementary School, Sunnyside Elementary School, Pike Lake Education Center, <br />and Early Childhood Education Center for school year 2018-2019. <br /> <br />Legislative History: <br />The City of New Brighton and Mounds View Schools have a long history of cooperative <br />agreements for the use of Police Officers as SROs at various schools since 1994. The City <br />Attorney has previously reviewed and approved the agreement. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br />The City of New Brighton will be reimbursed 100% of the personnel and program costs for the <br />nine month school year for 2018-2019 for the School Resource Officers. This is estimated to <br />result in revenue in 2019 of approximately $289,700. <br /> <br />Explanation: <br />The current agreement will include three full-time School Resource Officers: Officer Aaron Slack <br />at Irondale High School; Officer Matt Farmer at Highview Middle School; and Officer Brian <br />DeDominces serving Bel Air Elementary School, Sunnyside Elementary School, Pike Lake <br />Education Center, and Early Childhood Education Center. <br /> <br /> <br />________________________________________ <br />Anthony S.
