Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Fields. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Commissioners Kevin Fields (Chair), Pam Axberg, Jack Brunell, Matt <br />Johnson, Abe McEathron, Julia O’Rourke, Nick Quade (arrived at 6:40 p.m.) and Mike Santi. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Zachary Johnson. <br /> <br />Also Present: Director Jennifer Fink; and Council Member Paul Jacobsen. <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br />Motion by Axberg, seconded by Johnson to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 7- <br />0. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Axberg, seconded by Johnson to approve the May 2, 2018 minutes as presented. <br />Motion carried 6-0-1 (Chair Fields abstained). <br /> <br />V. Business Items <br /> <br />A. Mounds View School District Presentation – Karl Brown, EdD., Director of Community <br />Education and Technology <br /> <br />Director Fink discussed the value of having partnerships with local organizations. She <br />reported Karl Brown from the Mounds View School District had a presentation for the <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Karl Brown, Director of Community Education and Technology, discussed the improvements <br />that would occur at Mounds View High School and provided a high level overview of things <br />occurring throughout the entire district. He thanked the community for their support on the <br />recent bond and described the work that was completed by the Communities Facilities Task <br />Force. He noted Mounds View was the 10th largest district in the State and reviewed the <br />enrollment numbers for the past decade. It was noted enrollment was at its highest level in <br />16 years. The district anticipated having about 1,600 more resident students within the next
