2 <br />I. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION <br /> <br />The following information contains summaries of significant police and fire related <br />incidents during the month. <br /> <br />On the morning of November 1st, squads were dispatched on a male party down. Upon <br />their arrival, they located an extremely intoxicated party who was suffering from <br />hypothermia. He had no ID on him. An ambulance was summoned and the party was <br />transported to a nearby hospital. <br /> <br />November 1st, New Brighton Fire responded to Irondale HS on a report of a fryer that <br />was on fire. The fire was extinguished prior to their arrival. NBFD assisted with the <br />scene clean up. <br /> <br />Officers Krebsbach, Semanko, and B. DeBoer were dispatched to an address in the 600 <br />block of Inca Lane for a report of a female who had used a broom stick to break out <br />windows and was cutting herself with broken glass. Officers arrived and located the <br />female in the front yard with a large piece of glass to her neck making threats toward <br />herself. After a few minutes, officers were able to de-escalate the situation and convince <br />the female to put down the weapon. She was transported by Allina to the hospital for <br />mental health assistance. <br /> <br />On November 4th, a 62 year old man was on a dock on Long Lake when he either went <br />into cardiac arrest and fell in or fell in and went into cardiac arrest. Rescue efforts were <br />initiated by on duty squads but the party ultimately passed away at the hospital. <br /> <br />Also on November 4th, squads were dispatched on an intoxicated party having a diabetic <br />reaction. The party refused to go to the hospital but when the officers and medics learned <br />the party was a .40 BAC, they elected to sign an Emergency Transport Hold on the party. <br /> <br />On November 5th, a party reported being attacked by two black males wearing hoodies <br />that ended up taking $175 from his pocket. The officers were skeptical the incident took <br />place the way the victim claims but the victim kept insisting it happened. No suspects or <br />witnesses at this time. <br /> <br />On November 10th, New Brighton squads were dispatched on a caretaker locating bullet <br />holes in a vacant the apartment. <br /> <br />On November 12th, squads assisted Mounds View PD with a schizophrenic adult female <br />who barricaded herself in the bathroom with her 8 year old daughter. The squads were <br />able to safely gain entry into the bathroom. The party was secured and Allina transported <br />her to the hospital. <br /> <br />On November 13th, squads were dispatched on a 48 year old female who was found not <br />breathing. Rescue efforts were initiated and Allina medics responded to the scene. <br />Rescue efforts were not successful. Detectives responded to the scene and the Ramsey <br />County Medical Examiner’s office came to the scene and retrieved the body. <br /> <br />
