I:\Commissions - NEW FOLDER\Planning Commission\2018\Working Documents\05.15.2018\Big Blue Box SUP\PSCI18-003 (Big Blue Box)
- RESOLUTION.doc 2
e. That the special use shall in all other respects conform to the applicable regulations of the
district in which it is located.
6. The Planning Commission found all Special Use Permit criteria of Section 8-130 to be met
due to the following:
a. Keeping one-five trailers on site for sale will not be readily noticeable based upon the
applicant’s primary business of renting and storage intermodal storage containers/trailers.
b. The applicant will provide a Site Plan designating the for-sale area.
c. The applicant will not keep any damaged, inoperable, unlicensed, or salvaged trailers on
the property for sale.
d. The use would be consistent with other heavy industrial uses in the neighborhood that
utilize outdoor storage.
e. The applicant is in compliance with the development plans from 2016.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that based upon the above findings of fact the application
for a Special Use Permit (PSCI18-003) is hereby recommended to the City Council for
approval, subject to the following conditions:
1. The trailers sales are conducted consistent with the representations made within the
Planning Report dated May 15, 2018.
2. The applicant submits a Site Plan depicting the for-sale trailer storage location on the
property.
3. The applicant is limited to one to five trailers for-sale to be kept on the property at any
given time.
4. No damaged, inoperable, unlicensed, or salvaged trailers may be kept on the property.

ADOPTED this 15th day of May, 2018.

ATTEST:
Erin Nichols Matkaiti, Planning Commission
Chair

Janice Gundlach, Assistant Director of
Community Assets & Development/Planning
Director
