March 27, 20 <br />Freedom Park. He stated he was pleased by the number of residents in attendance and noted he <br />appreciated the engaging conversation. He encouraged the public to consider attending the <br />Open House on Saturday, May 5th. He thanked all of the residents who had applied to serve on <br />a commission for being willing to share their skills with the community. He thanked Andre <br />Barte for his years of dedicated service to the community in the IT Department. He <br />commended the City for receiving an award for Lions Park. He noted there would be a blood <br />drive at the Public Safety building on Wednesday, March 28th from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. it <br />was noted walk-ins are always welcomed. He reported the EDC would be meeting next on <br />Wednesday, April 4th. <br />Mary Buri <br />Councilmember Burg reported she attended the March 22"d neighborhood meeting and <br />believed the topics were well presented by City staff. She thanked all of the residents who <br />were able to attend this event. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen thanked the Councilmembers and Mayor for tackling the touch <br />issues together along with staff. He noted the Rotary sponsored New Brighton Easter Egg <br />Hunt would be held on Saturday at Driftwood Park. He reported the Easter Egg Hunt would be <br />broken down by age groups and stated donations were encouraged for the Ralph Reeder Food <br />Shelf. He commented the Public Safety Commission would be meeting next on Monday, April <br />9th. He thanked the fire department for their response to a house fire in his neighborhood. He <br />thanked all of the residents who were able to attend the neighborhood meetings and for <br />bringing forward great questions and comments. Lastly, he thanked Andre Barte for his <br />dedicated service to the City of New Brighton and wished him well in his new position. <br />Mayor Johnson <br />Mayor Johnson invited the public to attend the Saturday, May 5th Open House. She reported <br />potholes would be filled soon and encouraged the public to report areas of concern to the <br />Public Works Department. She thanked Cub Foods in New Brighton for sponsoring an Easter <br />Egg Hunt last weekend.
