<br />Ed Greacen questioned Council Members Burg motion, primarily the amount she
<br />requested be reduced, the comment was made that Council Member Burg's motion was
<br />changed form $58,000.00 to $220,000.00. Mr. Greacen asked for her intent.

<br />The City Manager stated that if the intent was to reduce the budget by
<br />Council would need to specify where this is to be deducted, since the
<br />for Park-related non-fleet items is only $58,000.

<br />Mayor Larson gave.~()m7~a.(;kgronnd information. He indicated that the City
<br />Manager did not receive'Em.Y cost of living last year. He also reminded the Conncll
<br />about the extensive perfo:rmance review that was conducted regarding the City
<br />Manager at a significant expense in 2005 and fonnd that the City Manager's
<br />Aerformance was acceptable.
<br />~ comparison of salaries for City Managers of neighboring cities, similar in size was
<br />presented.

<br />It was reported that a step increase as well as performance pay were both forgone
<br />at the request of the City Manager for 2006.
