He reported he <br />worked with onsite managers in most cases to work through concerns. <br /> <br />Discussion included: <br /> How police calls have changed over time to the City’s crime free multi-housing units. <br /> It was noted one-third of the City’s residents live in multi-family housing. <br /> Crime prevention methods for multi-family housing was discussed. <br /> The Commission thanked Officer Krebsbach for his great work on behalf of the <br />community. <br /> <br />VI. Reports and Updates <br /> <br />A. Allina Health – Dave Matteson <br /> <br />Dave Matteson was not in attendance to provide the Commission with a report. <br /> <br />B. Public Safety Update – Director Paetznick <br /> <br />Director Paetznick provided the Commission with an update from the Public Safety <br />Department. He explained the City would be providing Commissioners with training at their <br />April 8th meeting. He discussed a recent robbery that occurred in the City. The Commission <br />encouraged the Public Safety Department to educate local business owners on how to prepare <br />and protect themselves from these types of events. <br /> <br />C. City Council Update – Emily Dunsworth, Councilmember <br /> <br />Councilmember Dunsworth explained the Council has been interviewing candidates for <br />commissions. She noted the Council would be making appointments on Tuesday, March 12th <br />in hopes of having all new Commissioners in place by April 1st. She invited the public to <br />attend a parks neighborhood meeting which would be held on Thursday, March 21st at 6:00 <br />p.m. at Sunny Square Park. She commented further on the Comprehensive Parks Master <br />Planning process. <br /> <br />VII. Business Items <br /> <br />A. Benedictine Health Center Neighborhood Traffic Concerns – Ben Gozola, Assistant <br />Director of Community Assets & Development and Tony Paetznick, Director of Public <br />Safety <br /> <br />Director Paetznick stated one of the tasks of the Public Safety Commission was to review traffic <br />concerns. He explained Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Ben Gozola <br />was present to discuss traffic concerns surrounding the Benedictine Health Center that were <br />voiced by neighbors at a recent Council meeting. <br /> <br />Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola introduced himself to the <br />Commission and reviewed the traffic concerns that were raised by neighbors living near the <br />Benedictine Health Center. He reviewed the changes Benedictine was proposing to make to <br />their property. The location of a new parking lot on the Benedictine property was discussed.
