<br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Public Safety Commission <br />June 10, 2019 City Hall <br />Council Chambers 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Hollimon. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Commissioners Robert Boyd, Amina Ghouse, Geoff Hollimon, Tanya <br />Kessler, Stephanie Kitzhaber, Stephanie Malone, and Karen Wagner. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner William Cook and Ache Wakai. <br /> <br />Also Present: Director Tony Paetznick, Council Member Paul Jacobsen and Dave Matteson <br />(Allina Health). <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kessler, seconded by Vice Chair Wagner to approve the June 10, 2019 <br />agenda as presented. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kessler, seconded by Commissioner Kitzhaber to approve the May 13, <br />2019 minutes as presented. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />V. Presentations and Public Hearings <br /> <br />A. Public Safety Partnerships – Tony Paetznick, Director of Public Safety <br /> <br />Director Paetznick provided the Commission with a presentation on the partnerships in place <br />with the Public Safety Department. He explained the mission of the New Brighton <br />Department of Public Safety was, in partnership with the community, dedicated to protect, <br />serve and educate. In addition, the department values and promotes a respect for human <br />dignity by ensuring a common goal of a safe community. He reported the department works <br />closely with the Ramsey County Emergency Communications Center, Allina Health, <br />Northeast Youth and Family Services, Community Partners with Youth, the Minnesota <br />Chiefs of Police Association, the Mounds View Schools, Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, <br />and the Ramsey County Traffic Safety Initiative.
