Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Acting Chair Johnson. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Commissioners Matt Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Abe McEathron, Julia <br />O’Rourke, Nick Quade and Mike Santi. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioners Kevin Fields, Pam Axberg and Jack Brunell. <br /> <br />Also Present: Director Jennifer Fink; and Council Member Mary Burg. <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by McEathron, seconded by Santi to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried <br />6-0. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Santi, seconded by McEathron to approve the December 5, 2018 minutes as <br />presented. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />V. Business Items <br /> <br />A. Update and Schedule of the Comprehensive Parks System Plan – Jennifer Fink, Director of <br />Parks and Recreation <br /> <br />Director Fink stated the City Council authorized the Parks and Recreation Department to <br />enter into an agreement with WSB and Associates for the completion of a Comprehensive <br />Parks System Plan to help shape the planning and redevelopment of the parks and <br />recreation system for the City of New Brighton for the next 20 years. Director Fink <br />presented an updated timeline of the project with the Commission. She commented <br />further on the community engagement efforts, such as pop up meetings and Pin Point, that <br />would be pursued by staff and WSB to gain feedback. She reported this comprehensive <br />study would include a facilities assessment. <br />
