<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Consideration of a Resolution accepting the 2018 Scholarship Donations from <br />the Kitchen Kut Ups Band per attached resolution. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD’S APPROVAL: Jennifer Fink, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this report ___ Comments attached ___ <br /> <br />Recommendation: Waive the reading and adopt the Resolution acknowledging the 2018 <br />donation of $2,400.00 from the Kitchen Kut Ups Band to the scholarship fund. <br /> <br />Legislative History: <br />None <br /> <br />Financial Impact: These donations are important to New Brighton youth and families who <br />may not be able to register for Parks and Recreation programs without this financial assistance. <br /> <br />Explanation: As in year’s past, the Kitchen Kut Ups Band made several donations <br />throughout 2018. The donations listed below have been directed to the City Parks and Recreation <br />Department scholarship fund. These donations help low income families in New Brighton under <br />the City Parks and Recreation Department scholarship pro gram. Families pay 50% of the <br />registration fee when they qualify for the scholarship program.
